Q1 2021 Performance of Top Pair Puzzle Apps in Latin America

As the first quarter of 2021 wrapped up, we at Sensor Tower took a closer look at the performance of popular Pair Puzzle applications on the Android platform in Latin America. Here’s a summary of how these games fared in terms of downloads and user engagement.

Higgs Studio's Tile Connect - Matching Games saw a peak in downloads during the second week of January with over 1M downloads, before experiencing a gradual decline to around 396K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at over 1.3M in mid-January and then dipping to approximately 897K by the end of the quarter. Revenue trends showed a significant spike in mid-March, reaching $160K, but normalized to around $49K by the close of Q1.

Tile Master® - Triple Match, also from Higgs Studio, maintained a steady download count, starting the quarter with 735K and ending with 300K. Active users saw a slight decline from 3.7M at the beginning of January to 2.8M by the end of March. Revenue for the app showed consistency, hovering around the $44K to $65K range throughout the quarter.

Lion Studios Plus's Match 3D -Matching Puzzle Game experienced a downward trend in downloads, starting the quarter with around 450K and ending with 178K. The weekly active users decreased from 2.1M to 1.7M. However, the revenue showed an upward trend, starting at $1.7K and reaching a peak of $5K in mid-March before slightly dropping to $4.4K.

From Spearmint Games, Match Animal had a notable growth in downloads after its release in January, jumping from 30K in the second week to a peak of 205K in mid-February before stabilizing around 149K by the end of March. The weekly active users showed healthy growth, starting at around 17K and reaching 357K towards the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Poly Match by Spearmint Games observed a decrease in downloads, starting at 106K in the first week of January and ending the quarter at around 64K. Active users saw a slight decline from 371K at the beginning of the year to 327K by the end of March. Revenue for the app remained relatively steady, ranging from $126K to $240K throughout the quarter.
